10th Anniversary History
Saturday May 30th in the form of a tea and cake party for old and new customers, business and trades people and the many people who have helped them over the ten years.
The independent family business was established on 1st June 2005 by Andrew Kinsey (Managing Director) and eldest Son Ben (production manager). Andrew’s wife, Alexandra, supported them by becoming Company Secretary and eventually a Director and in charge of the accounts. Younger Son, Matthew, joined the ‘team’ shortly after and is now also a Director and is installation Manager. Daughter, Elizabeth, has more recently joined the family business and is office Manager.
The business started with a trolley full of tools in 2005 and now has 17 staff and three vans. The first 2 people employed by Wessex Timber Windows are still working at the factory based in South Newton and have helped the business go from strength to strength. The business has been built up using a mix of traditional skills and the latest technology to create individually created timber windows that not only look great but last for years to come.
The windows are created to any design, or match original windows to give older homes an authentic period look. The skilled team are able to work on all types of buildings, including those that are listed. A wide range of colours and stains are used to create something which is truly unique.
Wessex Timber Windows provide a free of charge estimation and quotation service that allows you to make up your own mind, without the ‘hard sell’. Quotations include everything the customer has asked for with no hidden extras and are members of the FSB, Wilton & District Business Chamber and Certass registered.
Over the years the business has won many awards including The Emery Little Environmental award at the 2012 South West Business Awards, Ben has won Wiltshire Life’s Young Entrepreneur award and more recently Wessex Timber Windows has won the Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday Award.
Whether your requirement is one window or door or a whole house full of windows, Wessex Timber Windows will continue to be ‘Good with Wood’ as they look forward to their next 10 years.
