Where are your timber windows and doors made?
All our timber windows, timber doors and wooden window frames are individually hand-built in our Wiltshire workshop by skilled local craftspeople.
Do you work on listed buildings?
Yes, we are specialists in listed buildings, conservation areas and modern homes. We regularly create like-for-like replacements, conservation-approved sash windows, heritage units and sensitive restoration work.
Which areas do you cover?
We install windows and doors across Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset, including Salisbury, Shaftesbury, Blandford, Warminster, Andover, Christchurch, Ringwood and the surrounding villages.
Are you fully insured?
Yes. We carry full public liability and employer’s insurance for all work we complete.

Do timber windows last as long as modern materials?
Yes, when made with high-quality timber (such as Accoya or durable hardwoods) and maintained correctly, timber windows last decades, are repairable, and age beautifully.
What timber do you use?
Our main timber is a hardwood called Idigbo, other timbers like Accoya and Oak can also be used on request.
Can you match my existing wooden window frames?
Absolutely. We can reproduce existing frame details, mouldings and sash proportions exactly.
Questions about glazing: double glazing, vacuum glazing and secondary glazing
Do you offer double glazed timber windows?
Yes. All our windows can be supplied with timber double glazed units, including slimline options for heritage homes.
Can I have double glazing in a listed building?
Sometimes but it depends on your Conservation Officer.
Where normal double glazing is not approved, it may be possible to use: we often use:
- Vacuum glazing (Fineo)
- Secondary glazing
- Heritage units
These options are specifically designed for planning-sensitive homes.
What is vacuum glazing?
Vacuum glazing is an ultra-slim high-performance glazing system offering excellent insulation with a near-invisible profile. Ideal for sash windows and listed buildings, it delivers modern thermal performance with a traditional look.
