What is Accoya?
Accoya is a high performance, durable, stable and sustainable timber. Surprisingly it is actually a softwood, however, it has had its chemical structure modified from the surface to the core in a process called acetylation. This process enhances the performance of the timber which then means it exceeds the high performance attributes of tropical hardwoods.
